Emma

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers - was born on August 8, 1989, in Paris. They relocated to Oxfordshire at the age of five years old and attended an academy called the Dragon School. Emma was just six when she realized she wanted to become an actress. She studied for a number of years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a part time theatre school in Oxford in which she learned acting and singing. In a school play and the stage of a Stagecoach Production, Emma was her role as lead actress at 10, and acted. In 1999 casting began in the production of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the film adaptation of British writer J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was discovered by agent via the recommendation of her Oxford teacher. David Heyman announced to Emma that after eight consecutive auditions, she as well as Rupert Grint were chosen as Hermione and Harry Potter. Emma's debut film coincided with the release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). It broke all records in opening-day sales and opening-weekend takings as well as being the most-grossing feature of the year 2001. Film critics praised the film as well as the performances of the three leading young actors. The Daily Telegraph in Britain, which is widely distributed the newspaper, described her performance as outstanding. Emma's performance received nominations and won five awards later for the film.
